Newham Anticoagulation Service
Our Anticoagulation Clinic in Newham has been running successfully since December 2007.
The service has been developed in conjunction with Newham University Hospital Trust (NUHT) and Newham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) formally known as the Newham PCT. Our pharmacists have been specially trained to provide this service and work to the same standards as hospital clinics.

The Service
Immediate CoaguChek/INR (the time it takes for blood to clot) test results using finger-prick method.
Adjustment of warfarin dose, if needed.
Ongoing patient and family education about conditions and treatments.
Reports to your doctor.
Choice of five community clinic locations to suit you.
Eligibility for Treatment
All "stable" Warfarin patients registered with a Newham GP, who require anticoagulation monitoring, are eligible for treatment.
