Enhanced Services

Enhanced services have been introduced into community pharmacy to assist the NHS in improving and delivering a better level of care in the community.
NHS England and the Local Authorities/Boroughs review the healthcare needs in their area and commission services to meet these needs. Pharmacies are in the forefront of providing these services. Some services have begun in some Boroughs, and others are being introduced over a period of time. Eventually community pharmacies will provide a wide and diversified range of Enhanced Services within their local communities.
We provide enhanced services in our branches as commissioned by NHS England and the Local Authorities in that area.

Medicines Use Reviews

We understand that it is not always possible to ask your GP questions about your medications. Perhaps you or your GP do not have the time to discuss your medicines, or maybe it's all too technical, or perhaps you feel uncomfortable questioning your GP.

New Medicines Service

The New Medicine Service is a Free NHS service, offered through your pharmacy, to help you understand your condition and get the most out of your new medicine.

Smoking Cessations

Smoking is still the greatest single cause of avoidable illness and premature death in the UK. We appreciate how hard it can be to give up, but your health matters, and that's why our Smoking Cessation Advisors will support and motivate you.

Methadone Dispensing

All our pharmacies provide a methadone dispensing service for patients attempting to overcome their addiction.

Emergency Hormonal Contraception

The emergency contraceptive pill is most effective if taken as soon as possible after you have had unprotected intercourse, but it can be taken up to 72 hours afterwards. However the sooner the better.

Needle Exchange Service

We believe, the safer the syringe, the safer the injection process. This reduces the spread of infections and makes the whole process safer.
